Our kennel has produced championship setters that have won the Lake States Grouse Championship, The Michigan Woodcock championship, and the Grand National Puppy Classic.
In the fall of 2004 at the National Amateur Grouse Championship, two English Setters from our kennel won both the championship and runner-up.
English Pointers and English Setters are bred by design in our kennell to produce gun dogs that have won honors as Michigan Puppy of the Year, Pennsylvania Derby of the Year, and also the prestegious Michigan Shooting Dog of the Year.
We have a 10 acre bird field at the kennel so that you can look at your started dog in action or take a puppy for a run, and take a good look before you purchase.

Grouse River's Mission:
"My goal is to breed the finest field trial dogs that will also meet the needs of the foot hunter. The setters and pointers in my kennel come from bloodlines that have an established record of producing healthy and intelligent dogs with good comformation, and most of all, winning records. My dogs are biddable with outstanding bird-finding ability that will please the most discriminating handler/hunter.
